John Milton’s Sonnet XIX, known as â€Å"When I Consider How My Light Is Spent† is a sonnet considering one’s debilitating suffering considering a period less truth that the Apostle Paul composed of: everything work to the great who love God and one in this way figures out how to be content in every way. The sonnet that will be considered here is the 1673 content imprinted in The Riverside Milton, altered by Roy Flannagan. The choice of Riverside was not to mediate into the content, however to leave as it was composed. Hughes’ changes embed accentuation, capitalization and spelling to refresh it to a cutting edge crowd.
